Yes. We deliver to Airbnb properties, vacation homes, VRBO rentals, private residences, and other short-term rental properties throughout the San Antonio area.

Because these locations usually do not have a front desk, you or someone you authorize will need to be present to receive the equipment.

Delivery fees are based on the delivery location. Many downtown San Antonio hotels may qualify for free delivery, while other locations may have a delivery fee based on distance or delivery zone. Your delivery fee will be shown before you complete your reservation.

No. River City Wheels is a delivery-only service. We deliver your equipment directly to your hotel, vacation rental, residence, hospital, attraction, or other requested location and return to pick it up when your rental is complete.

The location where we deliver the equipment is the same location where we will pick it up. This helps keep the rental process clear and avoids confusion if travel plans or hotel stays change during your rental.

Equipment

The best scooter depends on your weight, how you plan to use it, and whether you will be transporting it in a vehicle.

Our lightweight travel scooters support riders up to 300 pounds and are designed to disassemble into several pieces for easier transportation in most SUVs and many cars.

Our heavy-duty scooters support riders up to 400 pounds and provide additional comfort and stability. Because they are heavier, they are generally not recommended for transportation in a personal vehicle unless you have the proper space and assistance.

If you are unsure which scooter is best for your needs, we are happy to help you choose the right one.

Lightweight travel scooters support riders up to 300 pounds and are easier to transport. Heavy-duty scooters support riders up to 400 pounds and offer added comfort, stability, and support.

A scooter's maximum weight capacity is the manufacturer's safety rating. Battery range and performance can vary based on rider weight, outdoor temperature, hills, terrain, and how the scooter is used.

Both options can be a great choice depending on how you plan to use the scooter.

A three-wheel scooter has a tighter turning radius, making it helpful for indoor spaces such as hotels, convention centers, restaurants, shops, and other areas where maneuverability is important.

A four-wheel scooter offers greater stability and is often a better choice for outdoor use. Since many areas of downtown San Antonio include brick streets, uneven sidewalks, and cobblestone surfaces, a four-wheel scooter may provide a smoother and more stable ride.

Lightweight travel scooters quickly disassemble into several manageable pieces and fit in the trunk or cargo area of most SUVs, crossovers, and many cars.

Heavy-duty scooters are much larger and heavier and may require a lift, trailer, or larger vehicle for transportation. If you are unsure whether a scooter will fit in your vehicle, contact us and we will be happy to help.

Yes. Many of our scooters can be disassembled for transportation.

Lightweight travel scooters are designed to come apart into smaller pieces, making them easier to transport. Heavy-duty scooters can also be disassembled, but the pieces are larger and heavier.

If you plan to transport your scooter during your rental, please let us know when making your reservation so we can recommend the best model for your needs.

We ask for your height and weight so we can recommend the safest and most comfortable mobility equipment for your needs. This information is used only to help us select the appropriate equipment.

Our mobility scooters are designed to provide plenty of battery life for a full day of typical sightseeing and activities in San Antonio when fully charged overnight.

Actual battery range can vary depending on the scooter model, rider weight, outdoor temperature, terrain, hills, and how the scooter is used throughout the day.

Yes. We recommend charging your scooter every night, even if the battery indicator still shows power. Charging overnight helps make sure your scooter is ready for a full day of use.

Yes. Every mobility scooter rental includes a front basket and cup holder at no additional charge.

You can customize your rental with optional upgrades, including:

  • Sun Canopy — Stay cooler while enjoying outdoor attractions like the River Walk, SeaWorld, or Six Flags.
  • Large Rear Basket — Great for shopping bags, backpacks, or personal belongings.
  • Comfort Seat Cushion — Extra padding for all-day comfort.
  • Cane Holder — Keeps your cane securely attached while you ride.

Our scooters should not be driven through standing water or left outside in heavy rain. If rain is expected during your rental, we recommend moving the scooter indoors or under cover whenever possible.
